Why don’t WordPress and online monetization courses show actual websites?

It was this question that inspired me to start WPlaybook. Most WordPress, AdSense, and online monetization courses don’t disclose the instructor’s personal information, the actual sites they make money from, or the details of their revenue structure.

Publishing a real site can expose strategic keywords. In many cases, some courses also rely on questionable traffic tactics, so they avoid transparency.

WPlaybook makes one clear promise.

We show real examples.

I’m Isaac, creator of the YouTube channel Statistics Playbook. I first uploaded lecture videos as a side project, and today I have successfully monetized my own course platform. I have built more than 10 course series and learned each step directly in the field, from video editing and live sessions to website operations, contract negotiations, sponsorships, blogging, and community management, without a formal mentor.

At one point, I realized this: if I had known then what I know now, I could have saved an enormous amount of time. I also knew others were repeating the same mistakes, so I decided to package what I learned into practical, field-tested education.

Many online monetization courses don’t show the actual sites or provide detailed instructions on how to use the tools for two reasons. First, revealing the actual sites could negatively impact the instructor’s own earnings. Second, sometimes the instructors themselves aren’t very proficient with the tools.

My approach is different. Because my niche keywords are highly specific, I can openly share the real sites I operate. I have used these tools long enough to build practical operating know-how, and if you apply these methods to your own situation, you can build a far more diversified monetization pipeline.

We make the costly mistakes for you first.

My path has been full of trial and error.

The clearest example is my own website journey. While running Statistics Playbook, I deleted and rebuilt my homepage four times.

I built my first personal site through direct coding (theissaclee.com is now closed, but the video remains). I manually integrated AdSense scripts and later launched a separate Tistory blog for brand separation. I repeatedly changed domains, split and merged blog structures, and learned the hard way through trial and error.

After that, I created a dedicated website to sell ebooks, and a Naver cafe to run a community, and a teaching site with Teachable.

I regretted not adopting WordPress earlier. With a strong no-code workflow, you can launch what you need quickly while still keeping full control. Other no-code platforms are convenient, but performance and ownership can become limits. For long-term scalability, independent hosting with WordPress remains the most reliable route.

I expect many of you already went through similar setbacks. I made the same level of mistakes across YouTube, course production, community operations, contract negotiation, and product sales, and I am still learning in the field.

I will share the field-tested lessons I earned through those mistakes, so you can move faster with fewer setbacks.

One request from WPlaybook

Do not take this lightly.

“Earn $1,000 per month by writing one hour a day” or “make a fortune with one ebook” are common online claims. In reality, there is no easy money path. Results always come from sustained execution, and most marketing messages simply hide that part.

You are building a business, not a hobby project. Business requires commitment. Work deliberately, think through details, and execute consistently every day. That is how you outperform over the long term.
